The standard
Ottersheet is committed to being usable by people with disabilities. The standard we apply is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. As of 2026-09-23, ottersheet.com and the Ottersheet application are partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA: some parts do not yet fully conform, and they are listed below. Ottersheet relies on HTML, CSS, JavaScript and WAI-ARIA. Every colour pairing in the light, dark and high-contrast themes meets 4.5 to 1 for text and 3 to 1 for large text and controls, checked by an audit that runs in the repository, and every control on the home, table and legal pages is checked to be reachable and operable from the keyboard in Chromium on each build. Testing with screen readers is pending.
Known limitations
Wide tables scroll sideways inside their own frame, so on a narrow screen you scroll the table, not the page. The meters on reports are drawn as bars; every figure a bar shows is also written as text beside it, and a screen reader reads the text. Keyboard operation is verified on the home, table and legal pages and is being extended to every page; if a control elsewhere does not respond to the keyboard, tell us and we fix it.
