Who we are

Ottersheet is operated by Jan Kennu Paz, trading as Ottersheet, a sole proprietorship in the Philippines. These terms are between you, a business using Ottersheet, and us.

The service

Ottersheet reads files a business already has, works out the tables inside them, and produces figures from those tables: totals, summaries, and, under a market template, contribution margin per provider and per service and units billed against units bought.

The free tier runs in your browser. Your files, your tables and your setup stay on your device until you remove them. We keep nothing on our side, and there is no account.

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Ottersheet for your business while these terms are in force. Ottersheet and everything in it, other than your files and your setup, is ours.

Paid tiers and the merchant of record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to the purchase, and you accept them at checkout. These terms apply to your use of Ottersheet. Our refund policy states the refund we give, and we issue it through Paddle.

Estimates, warranty and limitation of liability

Every figure Ottersheet shows is computed from your own files and from the setup you entered. A figure derived rather than read from a file carries an estimate mark wherever it appears.

These figures are not financial, tax, legal or payroll advice. Check any figure against its rows before you act on it; every figure links to the rows that produced it.

Ottersheet is provided as it is and as it is available. We do not promise that it is free of errors, that every table in every file will be read, or that it will be available at any given moment. Every warranty the law lets us exclude, we exclude.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made on the figures, for loss of profit, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including for fraud or wilful misconduct.

Your files

You keep every right in the files you give Ottersheet. You confirm you are allowed to process them. Patient identifiers are dropped as the first operation on every table, before anything else is read; see the privacy policy and the HIPAA position.

Acceptable use

Do not use Ottersheet to process files you have no right to process, to probe or overload the service, or to reverse the identifier stripping. We may refuse service to anyone who does.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the courts of the Philippines have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute between you and us about them. The purchase of a paid tier is governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms, which say where a purchase dispute goes.

Changes and contact

We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and a material change is announced on this page for thirty days before it takes effect. Questions go to support@ottersheet.com.
